ParticipantHello everyone. I am looking for some advice on a task I have received by a company.
Following market research, recommend 10 Beko products that G2S should try to secure as part of the initial Beko launch on PriceTag. These should be white goods which can include washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, ovens, hobs, fridges, freezers and fridge-freezers.
When selecting your products you will need to consider what competitors are offering and the prices they are charging. In order for PriceTag to be competitive on price with competitors, calculate a target purchase price that G2S would pay to Beko for each of the 10 selected lines. Some information is provided below to help with your calculations:
* Cost of home delivery – £30.00
* Industry average for product returns – 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}
* Website administration cost 4{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}
* Target margin to achieve: 15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}
Basically I have to present my findings. I was wondering a few things about this task.
1) Are there any websites / places where I can find out which white goods are selling the most at this moment in time or for this year? I’m struggling to find anything
2) What should I be looking for on the products I am going to chose.
3) How could I incorporate the product returns statistic when I don’t have any figures
4) How would I set out a presentation. I was thinking along the lines of explaining what people look for in products to start with followed by a spreadsheet in excel with the 10 different products and the different prices retailers are selling them for.
5) the “SOME” information is bolded and underlined in the word document. I was wondering what other information I should be looking for to provide a target priceAny advice would be helpful as I’m kind of clueless when it comes to electrical good sales. I have a degree in mathematics so I can work with the numbers fine.
Many thanks!
