ParticipantI need to buy a new vent hose for a hotpoint aquarius tvm570p(uk) tumble dryer but would anyone know the original part number.
I’ve read that you can buy a clockwise vent hose and a anti clockwise vent hose but is there an truth in this.September 11, 2015 at 8:00 pm #430235iadom

Part number is C00258633, as it is listed as vent hose KIT, I guess it will come with the connector.
As far as clockwise and anti clockwise I suspect someone has been winding you up. :rotfl:
Of course it could be the way the hose screws into the adaptor. :con:

Thank you for the part number. I found the info about clockwise / anti clockwise on ebay.

But if you thing about it, at one end of the coiled flexi vent hose you would need to thread any adapter (say) clockwise. But at the other end the opposite applies……go figure! 😉September 13, 2015 at 6:45 am #430239wizard

Of course the thread goes one way as does the coil on any vent hose. The issue here is that at one end you will need to screw the threaded plastic adapter coupling clockwise and on the opposite end of the hose an adapter would need to be threaded anti-clockwise.
Much like a clock face. From the outside the hands go clockwise. Looking from the inside and they go anti-clockwise.
Have you got it now?

Have it your own way Martin, but do give it a try when you’ve next got a vent hose in your hand.
