Need advice on good quality, Side by Side fridge freezer

I am looking to buy a good quality side by side fridge freezer and would appreciate advice on which brand to go for.

I want something which is reliable and will last. Size is important (to the wife!!) and we want lots of freezer space as well as lots of refirigeration space. Ideally drinks and ice dispenser although I appreciate these will eat into freezer space.

I have seen the Liebherr brochure and the SBSes 7273 seems to tick all the boxes but is very expensive. I have not been able to find anyone who stocks one to see it first hand and its alot of money without seeing one in the flesh. Does anyone have any comments on Liebherr quality. How readily available are spares etc?

Should I be looking at any other brands? The high street stores are full of Samsung with plenty of flashing lights and gizmos but are they any good?

Liebherr is regarded to be the Rolls Royce of refrigeration, if your budget allows you will not purchase a better product. It`s a German led and designed well produced product. Liebherr also produce some of the Miele products.

I guess advice can be positive or negative, from my recent personal perspective I would say steer well clear of Leisure or Beko products. My 18 month old unit failed in the first 9 months (ice machine) they replaced the control unit under warranty and 6 months later it failed again.

They weadled out of it by claiming they only warranted the repair for 3 months even though the engineer told me the part was warranted for 12 at the time.

Their customer service is shocking, they were just not even interested in trying to be of assistance they just basically said, Not our problem….
