ParticipantSince the site revamp shedloads of url based images have been lost or somewhat inaccessable. In THIS PRICELESS EXAMPLEall but one remains. Though in all instances the images can be retrieved. (Oh happy days when I could do this without asking….)
This thread could and should be way up there with the best trade tips available on-line. Especially in this day and age when constantly posts are relating very much on DIY PCB repairs. Only the other day Jim (on whom it all depends :D) was querying how to repair the board on a Whirlpool AWO/D 5706 and images of this typical & so very topical repair would sit well right here in this very thread. I wish.:rolls:
We just need a bit of help and the jobs a good’un.
Now. where the fuff did I put my soldering iron……..?????????? :clown:

Managed to sort the one by P45 and have now added it as an attachment.
Also added what I think to be the correct pictures to Pauls post as well.

Hi Martin
If you can post the complete url from your post here I’ll add it as an attachment.

The whole thread, any many others around the site with photos needs a bl**dy good sorting. Sadly I can’t help you guys out on that one, but hey!😀

Ah well, no harm in asking even at the risk of being stumped on first delivery. 😥

As per the title of this thread. What has happened to the edit facility?
I realise my English is perhaps good enough to get away with it, but on the odd occasion I see a slip up, or next day the post doesn’t look like it makes any sense & would like to pop back & put it right.
I thought first off was only disabled in “Quick Reply” But I see it is global.

Hi Alex
Sadly the new board only allows you to edit your post up to one hour after posting.

DonSo If I think I need to sleep on something, best post it next day, not late at night!

Sadly most forums that I use do limit the length of time that any post can be edited although I am sure that the time scale can be adjusted by the site admin.
The main reason for this is to prevent someone totally altering a post which then breaks the flow of the thread leading to confusion.
Must admit I find it frustrating when it happens on other boards. 😥
If I have made a longish post then I always scan it with ieSpell.
Also found that using Google Chrome does ‘auto correct’ most of the time.

The GOOGLE TOOLBAR contains a far better spell checker for both IE and Firefox. It’s major advantage is that it uses UK English rather than Yankydoodle English. 😉
