I am in the process of replacing my oven element in my hotpoint oven. The element part number is c00084399. One of The screws which fixes it to the oven has snapped but I could do with replacing all 3 fixing screws. I am unable to find them on the internet. Any help is appreciated. The oven works but I am worried the gap left by the missing screw will allow the heat from the oven to melt the cables.
1 I would need the full model number to look up any part
2 if the screws are available they would have to be ordered from the manufacturer and they wont be cheap expect £2 to £3 per screw
they are probably standard self tapping screws you could get from a hardware store
The full model and serial number of the oven would be more use than the number of the element but in truth very few of the fixing screws for Hotpoint/Indesit appliances are actually listed in the manuals. The best thing to try to do is to find a suitable match at a hardware or diy outlet.
As suspected these screws are not shown on the diagrams I have access to, only the four holding the element cover are shown. B&Q usually have a decent selection of fixings.
