This open and slide under oven works ok apart from the oven lamp.

    Checked the bulb, it’s fine
Checked the wiring from the PCB to the holder, it’s fine.
Checked the holder for contact, it’s fine.

My hunch is one of those many relays on the PCB. The light was supposed to come on when you push the button out before turning the knob. The display light did come on but not the main oven light. Kinda rules out faulty knob?

Checked on Connections, looks like it’s restricted parts as I can’t get a list.

    What are your thoughts?

    Many thanks
    Matt

The bulb blowing has damaged the power module in all likelihood.
Have a close look at both sides of the power module (not facia module) and you may find evidence.

Thank you for letting me know, I attended another Neff oven with exact same fault. Bulb blew and replaced bulb, no light.

Checked wiring and PCB modules- clean as a whistle

Wonder if it one of many relay switches is faulty?

    Any ideas?

first just meter across the lampholder terminals just in case of failed lampholder

yes relay could easily cause it

The lamp holder is in perfect nick. The terminals have good contacts. Very tricky to trace the cable when I thought I was looking for a white cable which in fact was pink. The pink colour must have discoloured by the heat.

This is the second time I have come across it in two months. Both Neff – pyro type irrespective of door type. Wondering if EMW would be able to solve it by replacing the relay? I don’t know if my customers want to go without a working oven for few days.

Had a similar thing with a Siemens variant. Replaced the pcb and lamp and all fixed.
