ParticipantI have a Neff 1430 oven with a door that does not close properly, it leaves a gap of a couple of millimetres at the top. I have taken the door off and tried to find a way of getting at the hinges to replace them or tighten them up, all to no avail. Does anyone know how to do this?
Also the fan has stopped working and when I turn the oven on the element heats up to almost the required temperature, then it turns itself off and then back on again. The other night it took over an hour to cook some chips that should have cooked in 15 mins.
Is this the fan element, the fan motor or what!
Please help,
Cheers 😕September 30, 2005 at 7:11 am #148818Martin

Could you give us the full model number (for ID purposes) please!
Most likely the hinges are worn and the fan motor seized up?

Fan and hinges required I think.
Call out the pro’s if you’re not sure.

It seems that I will have to remove the front pain of glass to get the hinges off. If this is the case I would have to re-glue the glass back on. It seems a rather stupid design or am I missing the trick here?
The fan is all corroded aswell do you think it’s the fan motor?
Does the fan come with the fan motor?I don’t mind ripping it all out and having a go at repairing it. I think with the cost of the parts and labour I am beginning to think I would be better off buying a new oven for £200.

There’s no need to un-glue anything 😉
The door will come apart by removing some screws, normally at the bottom or the door handle retaining screws will release the outer glass.
Fan motor will come with the fan, this will involve removing the oven from it’s housing of course, power off please if you are going in there yourself :zap:
The model is actually B1430W0GB/05
Parts required should be:
Door hinges – 096784 and 096785 at £12.00 each
Hinge supports (possibly) 154767 at £12.00 each
Fan motor 096825 at £85.59
Plus postage etc at £4.95, all inc VAT.If you need any of those, an email to spares@ukwhiteoods.co.uk please and I can sort them for you.
If you need an engineer please take a look at Repairs@ 🙂
