neff 151-3 timer problem

hi there

I have an old-ish neff 1051-3 electric double oven, I have a problem with the timer which intermittently switches off then restarts with the clock flashing (as it does when the power is disconnected/reconnected.

I have tried cleaning the electrical contacts but this doesn’t work.

I spoke to neff who would send an engineer, their view is a new timer is £150 or he could bypass the timer altogether.

Any ideas if I can fix it myself, or how to bypass the timer?

Yes faulty timer Im afraid. You can bypass but for safety and legal reasons we are not allowed to detail this 😥
