Appliance switches on and starts, but switches itself off at varying stages during the cycle and the display disappears. This is on the automatic drying side of the cycle. The customer is trying it on the timed drying side as a comparison. Once it is switched back on and restarted, it will go off again at varying stages. There is no pattern in the timing that it switches itself off. I am suspecting the door interlock as a possibility. has anyone had this experience? Cheers for any assistance. Much appreciated as usual. Steve.

Sounds to me like the main PCB. I would suggest that knowing its age, some parts are now obsolete and the cost of the PCB that it would be BER.

Thank you for that Kentish. It is just over thirteen years old. PCB was my second guess. I will hope it is no more than a dry joint when I go back. Thank you again. Steve.

I wouldn’t be bothering trying. For a start the baker lite type door seal-dryer duct piece is obsolete, and they do break free and bang around.
