    Hi,

First post so go easy on me !

Today, my rcd tripped when I turned my oven on. Since, then no heat from the over although the light still comes on and the grill is working.

I have taken the back plate off and the element does not appear to be damaged (no evidence of bursting). However, after having the oven on for ten minutes, the element was stone cold. The fan is still working.

Do I need to replace the element or could something else be wrong?

Is it easy to replace as a DIY effort or should I get a qualified engineer? I am worried the wiring may be difficult once the element is unscrewed.

    All help is appreciated.

    Make Neff
    Model B1320N0GB/01

    Thanks
    Drew

    Good pot boiler here:

You will need a test meter to test the element for resistance if there is no obvious damage.

Element is p/no 262180 – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering if required.

    Power off first, of course.

What could it be if the element is not faulty?

    Thanks

If you measure the terminals of the element when removed, you should have a resistence reading of around 20-30 ohms.
If so its not the element it may possibly be the selector, thermostat or safety thermostat.
