ParticipantHi, have a Neff B1320 and noticed a few having similar problems with. However was using oven and suddenly tripped RCD. Oven was still hot so turned back on but as soon as the thermostat ‘clicks’ to increase oven temp it trips it off again. If you turn the temp down the fan, etc still is on? Is this the thermostat causing the trip??? And if so how much is it? Please help! 😥

probably the element has failed.
Turn the power off before investigating.

Good outline information HERE.
Relacement element is p/no 262180 – spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to get one for you promptly.
Power off if you intend to sort this yourself.

Almost certainly an element – you’ll need to get in there with a test meter and track it down to be sure.
Is the grill selected by moving through the oven temperature?

No the controls are separate. Defrost, Oven and Grill on one side and on the other side is the temp dial which is also linked to the grill temp Low Med and High. As soon as the temp dial clicks either on defrost, grill or oven setting the RCD trips. The grill has its own element across the top and the fan has an element around it also? Any Ideas?

I would check each element in turn (disconnected) using a megger.
That will eliminate the errant part 😉Greg

Shall have a go at that. Is it definately not the thermostat then? I had seen this mentioned in a previous post by bryan but wasnt sure

Thermostat simply makes and breaks the circuit – unless it has an internal fault to earth, which would cause a short. Very unlikely.
