I have just bought this oven second hand, how do I get an instruction manual? The connection wire has been cut by previous owner. Can anyone give me basic instructions of how to install/reconnect? I’d really like to have a go at this myself (instead of asking my hubbie!) 🙂

Your small Neff oven is usually fed with 13amp cable and a 13 amp plug. Therefore the wires are Yellow/Green to Earth, Brown to Live and Blue to Neutral. The termials on the back panel of the oven or its connector block will indicate “E” “L” and “N” accordingly.

If however you are using 30 amp cooker cable fed from a ‘Cooker Switchbox’ on the wall. The wiring is very different and care needs to be applied in the conversion. I would recommend calling in an expert electrician to solve that problem. Nonetheless cooker cable is usually Red = L Black = N and the unshielded copper wire being the E.

Whatever you decide DO PLEASE SWITCH OFF THE MAINS SUPPLY FIRST OK? :zap:

Also if fed from 30A cooker feed this is way over the 13A feed required and will need a fused spur to be fitted by a qualified electrician (Part P).

Or consider changing 30a fuse/mcb in consumer unit to 16a fuse/mcb
