Only spoken to this customer on the phone, thats the only model number he can give me.

Apparently this oven has a sliding door the slides ‘under’ the front of the machine, not something I have seen before.

He has taken the door of to clean and now says there is a catch or spring that has come adrift underneath preventing him from refitting the door.

Any pointers, will it just have come adrift or will something have broken?

Probably just come adrift. They can be a bugger to fit back though. On removal , you have to twist the locking nuts 1/4 turn to ‘lock’ the sliding bracket into position before lifting the door up and off its runners….with the opposite being true obviously when refitting.
The runner for the slide has prob popped out of the guide on the side. It is logical how it fits if you get a look at it……Ask the customer for his instruction book as that has the procedure for normal removal in it and it may help.

Its difficult to explain in words but hopefully you can work it out if you see it.

Thats not much help i know…but good luck !!

Twas quite easy once I’d worked out where everything fitted.

Pulled the unit out, laid on its back, released the baseplate.
I could then reach in and pull the tranverse bar and rollers to the front. As the base sides the baseplatefits onto are plastic it was fairly easy to bend them a little to slot the little notches back into the hinge mechanisms on both sides. 8)

It can be done from the front without having to take anything apart….or bend anything lol but that just comes with experience and working on them enough times.

But i do remember really struggling with the first one i had……and it was me that had taken the door off in the first place 😳 ….Red face’s all round after that fiasco !!!

Well done on getting it sorted though 😀
