ParticipantHave to change the inner door glass on the above. does the door come off or do you fit glass with door on. Have done a couple of these in the past without removing door , just wondered if it was easier with door off.

Door off, do it securely on the floor every time.

Sorry, didn’t realise until I looked up the user manual that this is an oven/microwave combo. See page 55 of the user manual and all will be revealed though.

Hi Martin,
Thanks but I think this will let you access outer and middle glass, the one I need to replace is the inner one which requires removing the inner frame. This is the tricky part to fit back while fighting door springing closed 😯

Thanks Martin,
Like a lot of jobs in this trade I keep looking for an easier way. Often need a second pair of hands to hold it altogether while screwing it up 👿December 2, 2014 at 9:48 pm #422218SWERV

It’s very easy to do on these.
Open the door, there is a screw on the left and the right that secures the outer door glass. Undo these, the top of the glass will loosen. You then lift and slide the outer door glass off. This will reveal the hinge brackets. Remove the screws on these brackets and the inner door lifts off and leaves the hinges in place. You will then see around 20 screws that you need to remove to get to the inner glass.
Normally takes 15-20 mins 😀 .

Thanks Merv, knew their must be an easier way than doing all those screws upside down. Will let you know how it goes when glass arrives

Did you order a new seal too ? Sometimes, if the inner glass had shattered due to a hot spot along the lower edge, it can blast a hole in the rubber. Also make sure the inner metal gasket is fitted the same way it came off to ensure all the holes line up.
