I got a neff ceramic showroom hob with my kitchen in a closing down auction. Kitchen fitted hob wired up everything works as it should the magnetic knob turns all hobs on but no heat from them and when I turn them off the residual heat icon is coming up.. anyone know what the problem is???

80cm island ceramic hob.
You say it was a display model, I have known items like ovens and hobs on display to have had the elements or boards disconnected so they don’t physically heat up.
An engineer would be able to open it up to see if this is the case or the hob itself may be faulty.

It’s getting one before Christmas don. That’s what I thought it being in a showroom they would have to disconnect something for safety reasons
