ParticipantMy 30yr + circotherm oven made a loud bang and stopped working. The fan isn’t working but the oven is heating up. I think it might be the motor? If so can I replace it myself? Where can I buy the replacement? And is it easy to do?
Would appreciate any input. Thank you.July 19, 2011 at 9:44 pm #355794iadom

That model number does not register on the Neff spares site, can you give us all of the information from the rating plate such as an Enr number if you can find one.

I’m not a Neff expert but that number does not look like an Enr number, it usually includes the model number with GB towards the end of the number.
Although it may be different due to the age of the cooker.
Its the only way we can check on the parts availability etc.
That said, fan motors don’t usually go with a bang, unlike elements.
It really needs the various components checking first, with the machine isolated from the mains of course. 😉

Sadly none of those numbers come up with anything.
I will ask on the trade side to see if anyone can come up with anything, I fear it may well be completely obsolete though. 😥

I have been informed that the fan motor is still available, but as it is over £100 ex vat I would suggest that you either contemplate a new oven or get it checked out properly first.
There may be a non gen, pattern part that would be much cheaper, it does appear to be out of stock at most places though.
