Neff Cleaning or Drying problems

Hi,

I have a 6 year old Neff integrated dishwasher. The model is:

S5443X1GB/29

Every so often once the dishwasher has finished everything will have a white residue on it. If you rinse say a glass under the tap then it disappears.

The wife is getting peed off a tad so really need to find a solution for this other than buying a new one.

I have read through these forums thoroughly and have tried the following.

First I have put a finish cleaner through a cycle.
Changed from tablets to a separate powder detergent.
I keep the rinse aid part topped up and also keep the salt compartment topped up.

I have the water hardness set quite high as we have very hard water in this area.

It tends to do it more on the 55 degrees cycle rather than the 65 degrees one.

I did notice the last time it has done this the salt compartment inside wasn’t particular full. Could it be a case of keeping this topped up literally on every wash? Does the salt compartment effect the cleaning process or is it just for the internals of the dishwasher?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
