Neff coffee machine – Error 8

Hi,

I have an integrated Neff Coffee machine and it is showing error 8 and stays on error warning.

It starts and says unit is heating for around ten seconds without making any noises and then shows the error 8 message.

I’ve taken the machine apart and the boiler unit is very hot to touch.

Any advice on what is likely to be wrong would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to add that I have a multimeter and wanted to test the pump but don’t really know how.
