ParticipantB 7740n0gb/01 The door handle is very loose on this pull down door. Is there any way of removing, “splitting”, the door without removing it from the built in oven housing?
We have now removed it from the housing. There are no obvious clips, catches or screws to remove or split the door. Its a very expensive machine and I’d like advice in case I damage anything anything.November 7, 2007 at 10:39 am #232620kevinlewis

Obviously not a common machine. The machine is made in Korea. Could it be a Daewoo? It has a pull down door, has a halogen heater grill in the ceiling.
I have spoken to Neff technical and they suggest that I order a pair of clips to remove the door. part number 418141. Unfortunately they are not available. Strange as the FD is 8212 = Made in Dec 2002.

They do show up on the parts ordering system though I see? Did you actually order some? Sometimes I find that parts that are special modifications or tools of some kind are only available to BSH engineers but are still listed on their site. 🙁
The other week I tried ordering 552829 Plastic Damper Inserts mentioned here on UKW but apparently only supplied to their own engineers as van stock for some reason? 😥
Very odd! :rolls:

I’VE CONFIRMED THAT THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
Its sounds very unproffesional but technical at BHS Appliance Care adviced me that one of their engineers uses 50p piece on each hinge and closes the door. I’ve tried it but held back when I thought that I’d damage the inner door.
Think I’ll have to take a loss on this job and pass it back to BHS engineers.Any ideas over the weekend apprieciated.November 10, 2007 at 1:02 pm #232623BSH-MAN

Never seen this tool. We have always used coins or similar. :con:

could not manage with coins but did it by inserting a 5mm bolt in each hinge and closing the door enough to take the strain then it was easy. Managed to dissemble the door. The inner just requires easing away gently. job done. Thanks.
