I have an externally vented Neff cooker hood and recently it has started to cut out even when just using the lights. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and hopefully it isnt too tricky or expensive to fix!

    Many thanks in advance

Can you drop the filter covers and let us know the model number, Paul?

Commonest cause of this is overheating of the motor(s) due to extreme blocked-up-ness (filters/ducting clagged).

    Hi
You said it cuts out just using the lights? sounds to me like a worn or greased up selector unit 😉

Penguin, the model I think is D9970NOGB either that or D-FX51-4. The filters were pretty clogged – I cleaned them this morning which is always nice so it could be the problem.

Keep your fingers crossed – that selector switch/module is £92 + VAT! 😯 P/no is 498313 should you find that you need to order it.
