NEFF cooker not cutting out

Any help much appreciated. My NEFF U1721 double oven stopped heating due to a blown heater ring. I replaced this and the temperature limiter but now the oven heats up but wont cut out!! Any ideas as NEFF want £65 to give me advice!!

Its more than likely damaged the thermostat.
To go any further, we will need the full model number (around main oven door opening usually) and, will need you to count from left to right the knob that the thermostat is on.

thanks for the speedy reply! The model number is U1721 SOGB/02 FD 8207. Sorry to be a dunce but do you mean the Knobs on the front on the cooker? if so its nob 1 for the lower oven. Many thanks

First knob from left has the thermostat piggy backed onto it. If that is the one you mean the thermostat is p/no 489378 – £17.10 + VAT etc. If its the furthest knob, then thermostat is 488189 – £19.40 + VAT etc, and are available form spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if required.

Make sure oven is isolated from mains at fuse box before attempting any repairs.
