Neff D/W floor Info Light N 70 fully-integrated dishwasher 60 cm S515T80D1G

Hi, I have the above D/W from Neff, it has one of these floor lights that displays info like program and time remaining etc.
Over two years the clear image started to fade on the floor, eventually al I had was a white light.
I replaced it with a new light asm. from Neff (€72.14) it worked, however it was not as bright as the previous one, within a fer days it startde to fade and after two weeks the light went out. I had to reorder a second one and they would credit me the cost of the first.
Anyhow, my new part arrived today, I fitted it to the cable to test, very easy, just a connector with 3 red wires. But Im still not getting any image from the asm.
Has anyone any thoughts on this. From what I can see the cable goes back to a control panel inside, but thats from looking into it from the floor.
I will need to pull it out to verify.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
