Neff Dishwasher

Hi,

I have a Neff Integrated dishwasher (s51e50x1gb) which is not emptying, but continuously turning the pump on and off. I have checked the filters and there seems to be nothing obstructing the pump gear. Indeed a little water is finding its way out of the outlet hose.

I have tried flushing with hot water and add a dishwasher cleaner.

You can see from one of the photos that the blue dishwasher fluid is getting to the matrix but it only gets to a certain level.

Would somebody please give me so clues about what to check please?

is the pump cover on correctly

Thanks for quick reply. To be clear this is the little white pull cover in the bottom of machine?

yes if it not in place properly it will churn the water and not pump out

Afraid not, I reseated everything and it hasn’t made a difference.

If I manually pour water into the machine it replaces whats in the matrix up to the same level and nothing more – dont know if this is a bit of a clue?

It is likely to be one of the following:

The pump is worn out and needs replacing.

The non-return valve, that sits between the pump chamber and the drain hose coupling, is blocked/jammed.

The drain hose has been extended beyond its normal length or terminates above recommended height.

If attached to sink waste that could be blocked.

…..or the pump cover isn’t seated properly.

It’s got to one of the above 😉

Thanks. It appears to have been a blockage as once the cleaner had worked through the system and returned to working order.
