ParticipantI have a problem!
I came to my dishwasher this morning and the pump is still running. The dishwasher is empty and I have had a poke round the impeller and it is moving freely. The programme buttons make the lights change but nothing happens and the reset buttons don’t do anything.
It looks like a new Control Module to me or is there something I should check before I change it.

Flood protection activation will run the drain pump continuously. Base may have flooded due to a water leak – this will also over-ride any programming.
Power off before removing any panel, please.

affraid we will need the model number its etched on the stainless steel door as you open it, but it sounds like the flood protection has activated meaning the base has flooded but remember to remove plug before you investigate smartin

Model number s5543x1gb/13
Is the problem likely to be water beneath in machine or in the base of the machine itself? If I find the water problem will the sensor reset itself or will I have to find it and re set it?
Thanks

The white plastic tray that the machine is built onto is the base. If it floods, there is a polystyrene float mechanism in the front left corner which will switch on the drain pump and over-ride the programming. Lid and side panels off to investigate – power as well.

Checked for water. Tray totally dry – no sign of ever being wet! Any other ideas?
Thanks

In that case almost certainly the PCB has bought it.
