ParticipantNeff S51M53X1GB dishwasher, about 6 years old. E09 error code came up & it would not function at all.
Quick search of Google/YouTube vids suggested the heat pump needed replacing & a relatively straight forward job.
I purchased a compatible heat pump (brand is Copreci?) & fitted it last night.
Set the machine running on a 70 degree cycle, it ran, no error codes & drained at the end but the water was stone cold.
Tried a 50 degree cycle & interrupted it several times to find cold water coming out of the spray bars. Again cycle completes & drains with no error codes.Any idea what’s wrong?

Moderatorok
I need it of the sticker on the doorafter the number it will be one of the following
/1 /2 /3 /4 /6 /7 /10 /13 /14 or /18
chances are its pump 651956
who is the supplier of the part as all of my wholesalers do not have an alternative pump for this number. They do have an alternative for 12019637 but not for 651956
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/6519…sher-heat-pump does not have an alterantive
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/1201…sher-heat-pump does have an alternative
they may look the same but may be electrically different

Participanthttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115448511067
It says Manufacturers part number 651956 in the listing. I’d been on Neffs website & it said that was the pump for my machine so that’s why i ordered it.
It looks like i can send it back at my postage cost.
I’m at work today so can’t check the door but from memory i think that sticker has worn away as i got the model number off the back of the machineNovember 19, 2022 at 2:23 pm #484498electrofix
Moderatorhave asked Kenn above to check as youi can see above so see what he comes back with
check the side connections on the motor they are the heater and thermostat connections
ok in the meantime did you check the old heater to see if its faulty as all E09 seems to mean is a heating fault but does not narrow down the component

ParticipantNo, I didn’t check the old, mainly because so many people reporting online that they only last a short time.
I have a multi meter – how do i check the old unit?
Thanks for your helpNovember 19, 2022 at 2:37 pm #484500Lazy Farmer
ParticipantThe replacement heat pump had all the same connectors as the one removed btw
November 19, 2022 at 2:42 pm #484501electrofix
Moderatorthe large connections on the side of the motor
one connection is earth the other 2 are the heater and will have a low resistance (under 100 ohm). Look at the connector on the unit you will see which is which

ParticipantI’m no sparky, setting my meter on 200 ohms I’m getting no reading on the side connections of the old heat pump.
Theres no model number on the door but on Neffs website the 651956 is the correct pump for all variants of the S51M53X1GBNovember 20, 2022 at 1:36 pm #484503kaibart
ModeratorNo that’s not correct there are 18 different variants gb/1-14 then gb/18-29 then gb34-35 heat pump has different part numbersive checked

ParticipantI’ll have another check all over the machine to see if I can find the correct model variant

ModeratorOk I think you should have part number 00651956 and dave has said if you put your multi meter on ohms you should get a resistance where the 2 red wires fit on to heat pump around the 30 ohms mark , if heat pump isn’t a original part aswell that could be your problem
November 20, 2022 at 6:45 pm #484507Lazy Farmer
ParticipantThank you
The old pump doesn’t seem to register any resistance between the red wires, does that mean it’s bust?
I will have to take the new pump off & test it as well.
An earlier reply seemed to suggest that I have been supplied the wrong pump although it states 00651956 as it also states 1209637, 12014980 & 755078 and these are may be not the same. -
