I went to a Neff dishwasher Enr: S44E43B0GB/23 FD: 8705 about two weeks ago; the woman said that it was noisy and not letting water in (but I could hear no noises and the machine was filling with no problems), so I stripped it down checked the pcb for track/connection problems, nothing to see, so I put it back together again and removed the appliance to check componant issues… No faults, no error lights, all seemed well and I could not replicate her problem. So I left.

The following week I got a call to say that it was doing it again, so I called out to check and found again that it would fill, but this time I could hear a wierd whistling noise coming from the impellor jug, so I replaced the impellor jug and everything went quiet.. the machine operated normally but a lot quieter.

5 days on from my last visit and I have just had another call to say that the machine has stopped filling again, there is a loudish noise (“as if the pump is running with no water in it”) and the Active and the Water lights are on.

Now initially after hearing this I would say that either the pump is failing to rid the machine of residual water and therefore the program is not starting… or, there is a PCB problem (since the problems are so intermitent).

Trouble is, I cannot get to replicate these problems.
Any thoughts on this before I go out again?

More likely a safety float problem I’m thinking George. Float sticking or something caught under the dome maybe?
