Neff dishwasher S51E50X1GB/03

Hi

This machine works OK for a while, then just stops, if you open the door and shut it again it starts up again with no problem, but then switches off after a little while again.
I suspect it has something to do with the door switch or latch, but I have personally not come across these with this problem before.
The customer tells me that she thinks the door feels a bit heavier than it used to, so could it be door springs also ?
I shall be calling there on Tuesday so would nice to go with a little knowledge on this

Door switch? Unlikely

I suggest you check for earth leaks first, then:

Does the pump run
Is it filling
Is the wash motor running
Is it heating

No one is going to answer your question unless you give them something to go on

You might want to check out the door springs.(The clue is in the fact your customer says the door appears heavier than before). Also the nylon door pivot bearings are prone to wear which will misalign the door. Finally, decor door panel and/or levelling issues will all create those symptoms.
