The original fault was it would keep on running indefinately and would indicate 1minute left to run then after a few minutes it would indicate 4 minutes left to run. I checked the heater which was ok but there was not voltage present and the stat was open circuit, fitted a new stat, it now definately is heating but it still over runs with the same read out on the display, has anyone had this before?

Further observations detected slow water intake, maybe this would give the 1 minute 4 minute readings on the panel and not moving on ?

Hi
To be honest it sounds like the usual gunge scenario johnny.
If there was a filling problem you would be getting an “F” in the display.
Check the metering unit and 1 ft ribbed pipe at front of appliance for signs of crud.
