Neff Dishwasher Tablet Residue

Hi,

Neff Dishwasher model S355HCX27G/01, fully integrated.

This is a fairly new machine, only six months old, and works perfectly except that sometimes at the end of the wash I open the door and find that half the tablet is left behind as a mushy residue in the tablet compartment.

This happens about 1 in 2 or 3 times when I use the machine. I have been using a couple of different tablet types, some “Finish” and some supermarket own brand, and it happened with both. I have tried putting them in longways or end-ways. This never happened with my previous Neff dishwasher.

I called Neff and they said maybe the cycle is not long enough – but I am using the “Auto” cycle, which usually takes 2 hrs 15 mins – or is not getting hot enough, but everything seems steaming hot when I open the door at the end. Anyway, the problem seems to me that the tablet is not falling out of the dispenser as it should into the main body of the machine.
