Hi Ive got a repair with a neff double oven I have found that the control
unit for the main oven has blown. Have check all elements and fans all are sound. Just wanted to know if anything else could of blown it or could it have been a surge. dont want to order because from the neff site its £170.

    Hi merv
Have you had this b4 seems a bit excessive if a lamp could do that much damage.

    Re: Neff Double oven

Being the said partner i can confirm that i did do one this week 8), yes it was the lamp that did it BUT, the board damaged was the power/relay board which has no sensitive electronics on it and a couple of tracks which were blown off i successfully soldered out.

The particular board is situated at the left hand side at the top behind the facia, looks like it comes as a complete assembly with transformer etc but with care can be unclipped from it’s mounting on the assembly to get access to the tracks.

    HTH?

Can’t rightly say Simon, but i see what you’re getting at…an rcd/mccb might have saved the electronics whereas a fuse might not?
