Someone cleaning my oven interfered with one of the bulbs when replacing the lens after cleaning. The mains RCD tripped and the bulb blew. Having reset the RCD and the oven clock, and replaced the lamp, both lights and the fan come on only when grill (single top element) selected, but not on any oven setting. The oven seems to warm up on all settings but I don’t want too leave it on too long in case I damage/overheat the oven. 🙁
Selector switch probably arced across the terminals when it blew. Check the switching if you are expert enough, don’t mess with it if you ain’t. Live to see Christmas, call out an expert. 😀
Sounds a possibility because the lights don’t come on when the switch is in the ‘light only’ position. But I had seen some (non related) posts referring to a ‘control board’. I was wondering if there was one and if there was a ‘go-no go’ check of some kind. Cheers, Ron
