Had problem with fan motor buzzing on and off. Fan ran, then stopped, then buzzed momentarily then kicked in again. Found that the stat was shorting against the light housing (that was def not the buzzing). i moved it off the housing, then heated up the oven but still the same so assumed the stat was damaged. Replaced that with the correct part from Whitegoods and fitted. Now no fan motor buzzing. But if oven very hot fan will stay on but goes of I feel too soon. much sooner then before. Then it will come on again. So manually keep the fan on until cool down. I noted the temp printed on the stat is 100c and i wonderer if this is too high as i have seen other mentions of 65c. It is not identical to the original – though the packet say Original – which i have now seen on another parts web site.
    Thanks. Simon

Whereabouts was the one you replaced and with what part number?

As mentioned it was on the light housing (top oven) and part 00154836

That’s the correct one so there’s probably something else up with it.

K – sorry been away. So can you confirm if the corect temp on the stat when it connects the power to the fan should be at 100c or 65c

Sorry, I don’t know as I don’t have access to tech info on the oven but it, depending on where you look and possibly what model, can be a cooling fan stat or thermal limiter.
