Neff F5456X3gb/23 will not stop

Hi whent to this dishwasher to find that it would not turn off goes down to 1 min but will not stop it just hums, put it on a rinse programe and it finished beeps and stops. Can anyone help please Les

Model will prob be pre-fixed with an S rather than an F. However , after that bit of nit-picking 🙂 , this will be a no-heating fault . You will need to check a few things
1. Water levels
2. Burnt out track on control module ( heater relay )
3. Heater continuity

Search the forum for ‘Bosch dishwasher 1 minute remaining’ and you will find a wealth of info on this particular fault

I’m a bit confused . You say it gets down to 1 minute and doesn’t stop….but then say it finishes the wash ? There are loads of threads , as i mentioned , of Neff/Bosch/Siemens appliances with the 1 in the display and the machine continually running. You need to check to see if theres any burnt track on the control module 1st….just in case its intermittent. Also , if the pressure chamber/fill hose is blocked , sometimes it might fill to the right level and sometimes it won’t .

Eliminate these two possibilities first

called to see this machine today no burnt out track hose and chamber clean . Sometimes it might fill to the right level and sometimes it won’t we have the hum of solinoid and curculating motor but the heater is working.

I can’t figure anything of what you tell us here Les. 😕

“Hum of solenoid?” …what solenoid?…the aquastop under the sink maybe?

“Hum of the circulating motor?” ……is the motor jammed then?

“but the heater is working?” …the heater will only work if there’s a full flow of water passing through it, and the circulating motor has to do that!

Perhaps it might be better to describe in more detail what you have checked so far?

Oh, and I still think you have the model number wrong. 🙁

MOD NO S5456X3GB/22 As i said a humming like a solenoid and the motor going with no water.

But the heater will NOT work without water in the machine. It’s pressure controlled by the fast flow of water pumped through by the circulating pump. Hence why I didn’t understand why you said the heater was working? 😕

Have you any idea of the exact location of the humming noise?

First sorry about my last post but had one of those days did not meen to come across as rude.The first advice was to see if the heater relay was ok and no burnt tracking this was all ok and working as the heater came on when the dishwasher first started to work it filled up and washed then drained started to fill then stopped with the sound of the motor running and a humming coming from inlet solinoid on the water inlet chamber ? but no water in machine. Then set to rinse only all the way through stopped and beeped. set again would not do rinsing or main wash and the water level when it comes could be normal or very low but the water chamber has been cleaned out this was the first thing to be done.

Ah, now I understand what’s happening! 🙂

Likely as not the aquastop valve (at the stopcock end) is faulty or its filter clogged. It’s not allowing water into the fill matrix as it should. What you’re finding is that the ‘heat exchanger outlet valve’ (the one on the right as you look at the salt container) is opening to allow a full heat exchanger to drain through the ion exchanger and into the tub whilst the circulation pump fires up. But, as you have observed, there’s no water in the heat exchanger to drain out anyway!

Take a close look at the auquastop valve (263789)…if I were you. 😉
