Help please,
the retractable timer knob on our 10 year old Neff H7860N1GB/01 combination oven has decided that it only wants to work intermittently. If you turn it to set the required cooking time, the display flickers but the numbers don’t climb up or down, or they do change a bit and then flicker. Pushing the knob in and out, or wiggling it a bit, can sometimes clear the problem, only for it to return later.
I’ve had a look at the Neff spares site and think I have identified where the problem may be, the bit-generator – Neff spare 151347, but am not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure as it may also be the control module – Neff spare 095642.
Does this sound like what would cause the problem or am I barking up the wrong tree? Would reseating any connectors help? Is it a reasonably straight-forward thing for an experienced electrical/IT/telecoms engineer to have a go at replacing?
Any guidance, gratefully received.
Thanks.
Mike.
