The heating element on my neff dishwasher failed. It uses the 00651596 combined heater and pump. I’ve bought a new element but I’m struggling to install it in the pump. I cannot get it to seat in the o ring in the grey pump housing. Is there a trick to getting it in?

never fitted one of these but have had the odd pump apart and managed to seal it again

as far as the manufacturers are concerned this is not a replaceable part so you cant get new seals which you would need to guarantee it seals

    Thanks for your reply.

What has worked is to remove the o-ring from the housing, place it over the heating element, place the element in the housing in the correct orientation, then force the o-ring into it’s groove from above. I used a ball end Allen key.

The machine is back in action with hot water and no leaks.
