ENR R4831X1GB/01 FD 8012200087 ( can’t find this machine on the Bosch website)

Anybody able to help with this dryer. The customer has cleaned the condensor and now the machine will not start.

The panel lights illuminate but the start button has no effect. The start light flashes if the main door is left open so it’s not the main door lock faulty

I am assuming that there is some form of sensor that indicates that the ‘maintenance panel’ has not been closed but I cannot for the life of me find any switch or sensor. There appears to be a pair of brown/black wires dissappearing into the trunking on the right hand side but I can’t see where they go.

A wiring diagram and some form of strip down information would be really useful.

    Many thanks

It’s a R4381X1GB/01 Bob, and there is a switch that the bottom access flap operates I believe on that beast. 😉

That would account for why I can’t find it on the bosch site 😳

However, still can’t find the bloody switch 😥

The machine has an interlock that dictates operation.
If the filter flap isn’t closed then the button to unlock said flap will protrude and stop the main door from closing IIRC.

Greg. I thougth that too, however, it is possible (with a bit of contortion) to close the main door with the flap open. This would leave the rotating fan open to little fingers. Hence the reason why I was convinced that there must be a switch somewhere. The two brown wires are confusing me a tad too.

Do you know if there is a diaganostic for this machine?

    Hi Bob
    Check your email 😉
The wires may be to NTC in vent space below porthole 😕

The wires will be for the NTC.

It may be worth checking the instruction book for “child lock”.

Amazing how many customers set this unwittingly.

Don’t think there’s any safety switch on the base panel on this model but i’ve been wrong before 🙂

You’ve got me thinking now about a child lock. Anybody any ideas on how it is activated/deactivated?

Re: Neff integrated tumble dryer no go

They can all differ, some it’s as easy as holding the start button down for a few seconds.

Others you have to stand on your head spin round 3 times and touch your toes 😆

Seriously though, it will tell you in the instruction book how it’s done.

BTW dodgy contact on door s/w is another possibility, get loads of fluff and stuff around there. Remove and clean sometimes does the trick

Went there today to continue the search for the fault, armed with all the guff you guys have sent me. The bloody thing worked first time at turn on!

For information, there is a child lock… it entails holding the select button for 6 seconds. 6 seconds again to unlock.

Thanks again for all the help

    Bob
