Neff K3990 Fridge/Freezer – Beeping and incorrect operation

Hi

I’ve got a really weird problem with my Neff fridge/freezer.

What’s bad:-

Beeping once every three seconds. Water/Ice indicator blinks in a long pattern which I can’t decipher. I presume that is a fault indication code?
Upon opening either door, the light only illuminates until the next beep, then goes off
Water / Ice dispenser only works in one second bursts

What’s good:-

Both freezer and fridge are at the correct temperature
Fan is running

What’s just plain weird:-

If you power it off at the mains, when you turn it back on, it sprays water out of the dispenser for two seconds, and tries do dispense ice at the same time.

I’ve never previously had a problem with it. The failure was unprovoked – it just suddenly started beeping whilst I was nowhere near it.

Things I’ve tried are:-

Several ‘reboots’ including one where the power was left off for 30 minutes
Poking all the buttons in every possible order
Removed the ice maker and checked nothing was jammed
Both door switches are working correctly as the light comes on for two seconds when you open the door.
It doesn’t appear to be a defrosting issue. All the drains are clear and the coils inside the freezer section are free from ice.

Bosch KAN58A55GB and Siemens KA58NA40 share similar electronics as far as I can tell.

Any ideas?

Hi, I know this is a very old post, but I have the same problem with my Neff Fridge Freezer, how did you resolve this in the end.
