    Neff oven. Model No. U1421NOGB/06.

Lower oven not warming up. The fan and temperature-control light are functioning OK.
I ordered a new element from Whitegoods, but still had the same problem after fitting it.
The old element tested open-circuit and had obviously failed even though there were no visible signs on the outside.
The new element checked out OK, (clutching at straws I know, but it’s not impossible for new components to be duff), so I checked the element supply cables and there is no power coming through.

I have read a similar case here where the poster was advised to check the limiter, and I’m hoping that someone can tell me if this is the most likely next step.
If so, I suspect this is going to be an “oven-out” job (groan) and would be most grateful if someone could tell me where to find this component once the casing is off.

    Many thanks.

Does the clock need setting on that model?
Failing that check the thermal cutout and commutator(selector switch)
This is a oven out job and as always turn the power off.

Re: Neff lower oven not working.

    Thanks for your help Steve.
Yes the clock does have to be set on this model. If only that was the problem.
I’ll try replacing the cut-out first. Do you have any idea where that might be located?

Fitted the thermal cutout and it’s now all up and running.
    Thanks for all your help.
