    unit works ok as a micro wave but when its not in use the turntable turns and the light stays on ..

    any help appreciated

    I have had a short in the turntable motor that has caused that fault. I couldn’t believe it myself, but nothing suprises me these days. Also worth checking door switches, failing that, it will be a board fault.

    Door switches is a good shout .

    I would have thought the monitor fuse would be taken out if the door micro switch assembly was faulty but you never know. 😕

    cheers guys will check – door switch,s a bitch to get at – im thinking the same that monitor switch would have taken out fuse .

    will check turntable .. unit is 10 year old but cust wants to keep

    UPDATE , swerv was correct – turntable motor faulty sp weird as it works ok when microwave on ..any way cheers guys
