Neff N4263NO/02 Induction hob error Er2

I have been to look at this 2 ‘ring’ hob this morning and both displays flash Er2 as soon as either selector knob is turned. I can’t find any info in the manual, but inspection of the display board (under the control knobs) revealed something green and sticky spilled down onto it. Cleaned it off but same fault persists.

Just before paying out for a new board – does anybody know what Er2 refers to on this hob and whether a new board is likely to resolve the problem?

E2 code is listed as fault in the ventilator. 1)Check wiring 2) Check fan/ventilator 3) Replace right ELIN ???? Main PCB board.

Thanks for that info Vladd. I’ll go back next week and check it out. Hope the ELIN has a big label stuck on it! I’ll report back with progress.

I had to give up on this one in the end. Checked the wiring, changed the fan but to no avail. Er2 won through at the end of the day.

I wasn’t prepared to pay out £214 for a new main board and sadly had to walk away. Thanks for your help on this one Vladd.
