neff u1461n ogb/05 went to this oven element blown customer had removed element cover panel but he says nothing else. insulation tests all ok. fitted new element fan runs no heat. toc at the back above fan motor open circuit shorted it out to try it mian stat went bang! Im wondering if wires to the element have been mixed up anyone got a circuit diagram? or any other ideas?

The wires to the element are normaly coloured aren’t they? white wires with red or black.

yes white and red to either side of the element plus a green and white on with one of the red whites I always make sure not to mix up by putting a cable tie around the pair

On one side you should have 4 wires and only a single connection on the other.
The 4 connections should go to
1. TOC
2.Top element
3.Bottom element
4.Grill element
The single on the other side goes to the selector s/w position 7a
Unfortunately I don’t have the colours for the wires, but I can’t ever remember a green and white connection, you sure it’s not green and yellow 😆
