Neff oven – B47CR32NoN/01 – error E0511 – power module?

This oven displayed an error message of E0511 which google search says power supply issue? The oven is running off a 13 amps plug when it should have been at least 16amps, owner says it has been fine for years until now.

The oven light inside was flashing then the error message came up. The owner has another oven identical to the faulty one, upon powering up the language mode display came on whereas the faulty one doesn’t. The touch button doesn’t appear to be responding.

I couldn’t find any blown components, tracks or missing solder on the power module at the rear. Some evidence of water mark that was dried up presumably condensation from cooking.

Would it be the control button being the problem? Any thoughts?

Turns out that it is the fascia module, caused by blown halogen bulb.

Six months later after replacing the fascia module, same error message came up. The owner says that the button hasn’t been sensitive compared with the second oven.

At the time when I replaced the module, it was all working fine. I don’t know why this happened six months later. I can’t keep replacing the module as it is expensive something must have caused it, the bulb is not defective this time. Can anyone offer suggestions?

No issues with the wall supply as it is a double socket with 13amps plug. The owner have two identical ovens both running from a 13amps plug each on the double socket. The power supply doesn’t seem to be affected other than I did question if 13 amps being too low as per manufacturer’s instruction which should have been 16 amps. I returned my thoughts on this that even if it was attempting to draw over 13 amps power consumption then it “should” trip the electrics or blow the fuse? The only think I can think of on how an oven would require 16 amps supply if the function requires all three elements to operate such as self cleaning or similar. The owner never used the self cleaning function as she only use it for grilling and fan oven baking as so do 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of Neff slide and hide owners do after shelling out hundreds of pound for the fancy functions which they never use.

Clearly it requires new module and possibly new cable loom to prevent loose connection. Photos to follow…if I can get it to work… not easy transferring photos from iPhone onto iMac then upload. Will do it on the iPad shortly.
