Hi there, I want to replace the oven bulb in a Neff 195 305 766.
I was expecting to see just a glass lense to twist off and reveal the bulb but found a more rectangular shaped lense, that I think is made of plastic. Neff say that there should be a clip holding the unit in place but I have got right up close to it, ran my fingers around the whole lense and taken a picture too and I can’t see any clip. If it’s a case of running a screwdriver around the edge of the lense so it pops off, I’m a bit loathe to do that, as the oven I guess is well over 20 years old and knowing my luck the plastic will be brittle and possibly break. Any ideas? I’m happy to take the entire oven inside shell out to avoid breaking the lense but that’s a lot of work! Or should I “man-up” so to speak and pop that lense with a flat screwdriver to reveal the bulb?
*** The more crud that comes off this lense I can now see the lense is glass.
