Hopefully someone can help with my “underheating” problem. Oven set at 200 reaches only about 150 and stays there with light still on as if still heating up. Then after a time seems to heat up again. Also noted that control panel above oven door got really hot and I did not think the cooling fan was on although it did ? start up after about an hour.

    Does this make any sense?
Grateful for any comments. The model is B1432NOGB/01, probably 10 years old

If the cooling fan doesn’t start, the safety cut-out will shut the heat off. Fan cut-in stat may not be working, or the cooling fan may have failed or be caked in accumulated grease.

Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Thanks very much Penguin. Took off the cooling fan and cleaned the muck away – replaced it and it now seems to be back to normal.
