Have just replaced fan element on Neff B1451 oven after last one burnt out. No problem doing this but on restart still not heating up. Could this be thremal cutout or other cause. Does this oven have separate fusing that would have blown when previous element burnt out ? Oven is just over 3 years old and otherwise trouble free.

    Hi
There will be a temp limiter that should read 0 ohms under normal conditions.
Power off if you are to attempt fault finding :plug:

not sure I should take advice from homer Simpson but you seem to know what you are talking about.

I have really taken this as far as I can at DIY level. May need to get engineer in but wanted to remove burnt out element first to see if that was the only cause. Fitted genuine spare no fuss ( well one of the tags was tight to get on and off, but better that than loose and arcing ) but on start up clearly not heating up. Could there have been another fault with thermo cutout that would cause the previous element to have blown or is it just coincidence ?

Should I just swallow my pride and get a service@ engineer to take a look ?

    Thanks for quick reply

You may be best, as you seem to have gone as far as you want 😕
Try the repairs@ link on the left if required 😉
