    Hi Guys
I’ve just fitted a new oven element to a Neff B1542 fan assisted oven. Everything works well, oven heating up and grill works.

😕 However when I reset the clock the oven internal light comes on and wont go out despite all controls on off.
I had replaced the bulb which blew witht he element .

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

Look on http://www.bshcustomerservice.com – full parts listings and diagrams. You will need the full eNr number though.

Thanks- found it and found the part.

Next question is how do I access the selector?
Do I remove the fascia panel ( four fixings beneath the the front lip)

or go at it by removing the top casing which is attached to the main oven housing?

    Regards
    Tony 😀

    Re: NEFF Oven Problems

    Hi Guys
Please ignore my last question, access was obvious once I got the oven out.

I can’t detect any damage to the selector switch, all looks normal to me and the contacts seem to move properly but there is current to the internal lamp and the oven temp lamp in the off position.
I can’t see how to remove the switch without taking off the front panel, knob and fixing plates which is a a bit daunting.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Regards
    tony
