Neff S 5453x1gb Dish washer

Having prblems with water intake.
Too much seems to come in and then it starts knocking sound and tap sign comes up on display.
Sump hose to pressure chamber clear, had pressure chamber out but all free and no sticking micro.
Trouble is that sometimes it will fill and work no problem, then next time it overfills again. The gurgling sound is like an air lock. Is that possible?

sounds like a classic ‘impellor jug’ fault.

Its the flow rate meter – part number 424099.

It will cause the machine to fill/drain/fill/drain at cycle start and the ‘check water’ light to illuminate (The tap symbol)

Basically , the impellor jug isn’t sending the correct signal to the control module so the appliance has no idea what rate the water is incoming…..this causes overfilling – hence the drain out portion – as it can’t sort its water level out.

yes this is becoming a common fault so i carry one as a spare. nice easy job.

Biggest prob is getting the hoses off the impellor as they can be quite a tight fit !! 😀

Warming the hoses up with a hairdryer makes it a lot easier! 😀
