Neff S4130f0gb/14 dishwasher fill fault

Unit is slow to fill thru aged valve. however the water only trickles in thru the vent at the LHS. Is it supposed to fill through the sump, as when it reached level and started circulation pump, i switched it off and opened the door and when i closed it again a wave of water leaked down the inner door as if it had filled some more, as if the tank had not yet finished emptying.
This is the dishwasher that Hotpoint used with valve 180770.
Just wondering if it has a blocked crudded up transfer hose as well?

Hi Simon
Probably normal to leak if you open and close door whilst circulating TBH 😉
Changing the aqua unit will solve the slow fill IMHO 😀
Main faults on these beasts were –

1/ Crudded up metering/transfer hose
2/ Broken wires/s in door loom
3/ Sensitive (over time) aquastop unit

This just seems to do one long 10 minute dribble fill thru vent, not three short. Is this correct? Original reported fault is taking too long to wash (3 hrs).

Replace aquastop unit and report back 😉

Replaced valve with diaphraghm aquastop. Water whoosing in 3 fills. 😀
