    The dishwasher was switched on. But didn’t seem to be doing anything. I opened the door and some smoke came out.

    Now there is a pool of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. No water coming in, no water pumping out and no noises.

    When I press the power button the red light next to button comes on and the yellow arrow light comes on.

    Thoughts ?

    No quick fix here Im affraid. If you are sure it was smoke that came from the apppliance then it really could be from a number of places, the pcb, mains filter or the motor being the most likely candidates.
    Probably requires calling out an engineer to have a further look.
    If you do decide to investigate switch the power off first.

    Presumably the PCB is in the door and motor and mains filter are at the back ?
