Our dishwasher does not fill nor does it proceed through a cycle without manual advance of the programme dial at a number of points in the cycle.

    I have referred to:

    viewtopic.php?f=33&t=21993

which describes my problem to a tee. Also the related response at:

    viewtopic.php?f=33&t=21915

and have cleaned out the water inlet hose as suggested. However the fault described is not resolved.

Is it time to buy a new dishwasher or is there another possible solution?

    Excellent forum by the way.

    Thanks all.

    Hi
At the rear there is a pop out rectangular plate with the fill valve spout coming out of it.
The fill valve solenoid is behind there. It should read app 2-3 kohms.
Power off before you attempt any fault finding.

Thanks Greg for the prompt response 😀 .

I don’t have a meter to test the solenoid (and I’d probably be out of my depth anyway).

In your view, is it worth having an engineer look at it or would it be just as well to think about a new machine? In which case, I have been looking at the Neff S44E43WOGB. Your thoughts?

    Thanks again.

Its an integrated quality item and to replace, off the top of my head app £500 – £600 😕
Give repairs@ a go on the LHS menu 😉
